Megacon Carlisle is the city’s original Comic Convention, born from a small anime meetup in a local bookstore back in 2009. Now a sell-out event two years running, we’ve grown into a vibrant celebration of all things geeky.

Our mission is to showcase the very best of the local area — from artists and creatives to indie talent — offering fans a unique and immersive experience. Instead of traditional celebrity guests, we spotlight local artists who are on hand to chat, share their work, and bring the community to life with deeper, more meaningful interactions.

Megacon Carlisle itself is a non-profit run by volunteers. This means that every penny we make goes back into the convention to help develop and grow the event. We rely fully on ticket income, which we try to keep as cheap as possible, because we believe everyone should be able to enjoy the wonderful freedom of geekery.
